What is good fat
They are called essential fatty acids, eg. Omega 3, 6, 9.  These cannot be produced by the body so they have to be supplied by your diet.  So you only get them through the right foods or supplements.
Generally you get about 10 times more Omega 6 than 3 and it should really be other way around. Generally omega 6 is found in meat and animal products and omega 3 in grains, fish, fruit and vegetables.

This butternut squash rice salad has a fabulous taste and texture, not to mention the vibrant colour and omega 3!
Butternut squash has been said to help balance blood sugar levels as well as being absolutely full of the anti-oxidant, beta-carotene, which has been linked, in dietary intake, to reduced risk of breast cancer and stronger vision.
Walnuts have high levels of Vitamin E, Omega 3’s and liver supportive qualities.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
¼ butternut squash
½ small red onion
1 bunch of coriander, roughly chopped
1 lemon, juiced and half the zest set aside
1 tbsp dried cranberries or raisins
1 small handful of walnuts, broken
1 pinch of cumin
3 tbsp olive oil
salt pepper to taste
Method:
1.     In a food processor with an “S” blade whiz the butternut squash until it is blended into the size of rice grains, remove and empty in to a large mixing bowl.
2.     Slice the onion very thinly and mix it into the butternut squash blend along with all the other ingredients, then leave to marinade if you have time.
